From the Pastor
It has been my privilege to have been the pastor of the wonderful body of believers known as the Central Baptist Church of Buna for twenty-seven years.
I have been married to my lovely wife Kathy for thirty-seven years. We have three grown children. Our two daughters, Crystal and Amber are both nurses. Our son Lincoln was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and now has moved back to Buna. Our children have blessed us with six grandchildren.
I grew up in Marshall, Texas where my dad was pastor of the Grange Hall Baptist Church for seventeen years. When I was a junior in college, I felt the call of God on my life and followed my dad in the pastorate of Grange Hall where I served for seven years.
Central Baptist Church of Buna is a loving and caring group of believers. The dress is casual, the teaching is Biblical, and the worship is passionate. It is our desire that you come and find a connection. Through a relationship with His Son get connected to God. Through Christ-like fellowship (Koinonia) get connected with one another. We also desire that you grow. Grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. Finally, we pray you will find a place to serve. We are not to sit, soak, and sour, but we are created for a purpose. Come and we will help you get "plugged in" to a place of service and ministry.
